Bloom Sheffield X Marmadukes Supper Club

In April, we teamed up with the amazing folks at Marmadukes to host a Spring Supper Club to help raise money and awareness about the work we do within our community here at Bloom. They cooked up a delicious vegetarian banquet and we decked out the Sorting Office with Sheffield grow Spring blooms. It was such an amazing evening and we want to thank everyone who came along and support us that evening. We’ve put together some photos, taken by the very talented Alina Trifan, to show you what we got up to.

The Sorting Office was filled with wonderful people who came to hear about Bloom and enjoy the scrumptious, seasonal feast created especially for the evening by the talented team at Marmadukes. Some of the plates included grilled artichoke hearts with aioli, asparagus with smoked garlic and almond dressing and charred chicory with sheeps curd and honey.

For pudding our guests had the choice of orange blossom honey custard pie with cardamom and honey whipped creme fraiche, roasted apricots, candied pistachios and edible flowers, white chocolate basque cheesecake with honeyed apricots, candied pistachios and edible flowers or apricot pavlova; meringue, maple roasted apricots, vanilla whipped cream, candied pistachios, apricot cardamom caramel and edible flowers. It was a difficult choice! I went for the cheesecake which was unbelievable!

Our lovely florist, Erin, worked so hard to create stunning, seasonal floral centre pieces for the tables. In the arrangements were flowers, such as ranunculus, tulips, lilac and eucalyptus.

During the evening, we also hosted a raffle to help us raise money to support the gardening groups that we run for our community. There were some amazing prizes including; Cut Flower Growing book by Marianne Slater, a peak district photography print from Alexandra Wallace, a afternoon tea hamper from Chatsworth House, a selection of flower seeds from Chiltern Seeds, a 3 month flower subscription from us, a beautiful ceramic bowl from Laura Aymara, coffee and cake for four at Marmadukes and a limited edition Kelham candle, amongst many other prizes. Thank you so much to all the generous people and companies who donated a prize for our raffle. We appreciate your support so much and thank you for being involved!
