Explore our gardens
Things have really grown over the past 5 years. From a tiny allotment plot covered in carpet, to four locations across Sheffield. We feel very lucky to be growing lots of good things and sharing it with you all.
We look after four different gardens across Sheffield - two community gardens and two production gardens. Come and have a look around.
Our Gardens
-
Baby Bloom
This is our original community garden and where it all started. A small allotment plot in the heart of Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments. This is where our Gardening To Feel Good groups take place and where we grow flowers for our community to enjoy. We also run one Gather & Grow session here per week. This garden has raised beds, a glass house, a building and a wooden outdoor shelter. This garden is where we do a lot of seed sowing, weeding, planting and creative activities. Baby Bloom is the most established of our gardens, so it is a space to take it easy and get involved at your own pace.
We don’t have any electric here, but we have a stove kettle, fresh water and access to a composting toilet. -
Big Bloom
This is our newest community garden and it is big by name and big by nature! We’ve recently become stewards of this huge community garden at Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, which is home to an orchard, a pond, woodland and a growing space. We’re currently developing the garden, so why not come along and help out? This garden is undergoing lots of transformation, so if you come to a session here expect lots of clearing, chopping and digging. This garden is one you can really get stuck into and make a big change! Currently, we run 1-2 Gather & Grow sessions here per week.
We don’t have any electric here, but we have a stove kettle, fresh water and access to a composting toilet.
-
Dore Garden
This is our busy production garden and where we grow all of the flowers that end up in our beautiful bunches. This garden isn’t open to the public, but instead is cared for by our amazing, dedicated team of volunteers. This garden is privately owned, so we don’t share the address. We don’t currently have any vacancies on our volunteer team for this garden, but you can sign up to the mailing list to be informed of when they arise.
-
Wortley Hall Walled Garden
We have a section of the historic walled garden at Wortley Hall where we are growing rows and rows of flowers and shrubs to use in our bouquets. We started working up at Wortley this summer and we already have lots in the ground. We are recruiting for a volunteer team up there, so if you are interested you can apply via our volunteering page.
