Join us for an immersive woodland experiences called Shinrin Yoku, or forest bathing.
In this session, Helen will invite participants to slow down, and deeply connect with nature through a series of sensory activities. Research shows these mindful forest experiences are beneficial for psychological wellbeing, while also fostering a reciprocal relationship with nature.
Helen is passionate about nature connection as a tool for both improving mental health and wellbeing, and inspiring people to take better care of the environment.
She holds an International Forest Therapy Guide Diploma. Helen has a background working with charities in the UK and internationally in leadership, innovation, and arts for social change roles.
For this session, we will meet at the entrance to Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, Carfield Lane, S8 9HW. We will then take a walk through Cat Lane Woods and end with a hot drink and snacks at Big Bloom, our community garden at Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments.
